Bafoussam : May 20 Activities Launched

Governor Awa Fonka Augustine has again reiterated that peace and living together among Cameroonians are strong pillars to push forward good political governance, national unity, national integration and progress in Cameroon. He said this year theme, “Defense forces and Cameroonian people in harmony to safeguard peace and national unity, bedrock of a strong and prosperous Cameroon” is a call for togetherness between the military and the civilian population that should renew their confidence on each other to encourage and promote equitable socio-economic growth.
Governor Awa Fonka Augustine was speaking in Bafoussam on 16 May, 2023 while launching activities for the 51st edition of National Day celebration. He also inaugurated the 20th May “Unity Village and National Integration” opened by the Bafoussam City Council. 
In his inaugural speech of the Unity village and national integration trade fair village, where some 86, exhibition stands were set up by Cameroonian inventors and producers, to exhibit Cameroon-made goods and produce, Governor Awa Fonka expressed happiness that 95% of items displayed were locally transformed or manufactured goods, healing plants and Cameroonian dishes.
