North West : President Of House Of Chiefs Released

The information started spreading on social media in the morning and at 3:30 pm, North West Regional Governor Adolphe Lele Lafrique in his Bamenda office in a declaration to the press confirmed that the armed forces released Fon Yakum Kevin Shumitang  from the captivity of armed separatists early on June 1, 2023   morning.
As to the circumstances of the release, the Governor said, “The military services will give the exact circumstances.” He however, specified that the release was in Bui Division without giving the precise locality. Governor Lele Lafrique said the Fon was released safely.
