2023 African Boxing Championships : IBA Envisages High Level Competition

The Project Coordinator of the International Boxing Association (IBA), Vitalii Shilnikov is very optimistic about the upcoming African Boxing Championships to be staged in Yaounde, Cameroon from June 13-25, 2023. The IBA expert was speaking after he inspected the competition site at the Yaounde Multipurpose Sports Complex as well as some lodging facilities. “The venue is nice as well as the hotels. We are expecting a very high level competition in Cameroon,” the IBA Project Coordinator told Cameroon Tribune before underlining that he is very happy with what he saw and said he believes in Cameroon’s capacity to host the championship. The inspection visit was no doubt a platform for stakeholders to appreciate the different infrastructure as well as identify areas where minor ameliorations could be made for the smooth unfolding of the event
