2023 National Basketball Championship : FAP Men Champions

FAP Yaounde have once more defended their superiority when it comes to men’s basketball in the country. The club won their fourth consecutive championship title after the last phase of Final Four matches played over the weekend in Douala.
In effect, after the return leg of the Final Four, the Yaounde-based club needed just one win to consolidate their place as champions of Cameroon. But at the start of the final phase of the Final Four, their thirst for the trophy was deepened by second-placed BEAC. BEAC’s 83-71 win over FAP on day 7 of the Final Four delayed FAP from getting an early grip of the title.
But it was just a matter of time as FAP could only be delayed but could not be denied the title they had already prepared the groundwork to clinch. On Day 8, FAP Yaounde defeated Douala Firebirds to get hold of the championship title once again. They were already champions before they consolidated their lead by winning Ecole de Basketball 89-78 on the last day of the Final Four. FAP got into the game with all joy and confidence knowing that they had already honourably defended their title once again.
