Fostering Parliamentary Diplomacy : Commonwealth Speakers Celebrate Collaboration

A diner was offered on behalf of the Head of State by the Prime Minister, Joseph Dion Ngute to the legislators on July 18, 2023.
On the sidelines of the 18th Conference of Speakers and Presiding Officers in Yaounde, which ends on July 22, 2023, the Prime Minister, Head of Government, Joseph Dion Ngute on behalf of the President of the Republic, offered a diner to the lawmakers. The reception which took place at the Yaounde Hilton Hotel on July 18, 2023 served as a platform to celebrate the excellent cooperation ties existing between Parliaments and legislators of African Commonwealth countries.
In his toast, the Prime Minister said the reception was also a manifestation of the wonderful cooperation that exists between the Commonwealth and its member countries, particularly in promoting the socio-economic development of its people. “The intensity, volume and quality of deliberations and the various initiatives in the fields of technical, cultural, economic and political cooperation, are in my opinion, a perfect illustration of this fruitful relationship. I hope that this mutually-beneficial collaboration will continue to intensify and that the conclusions of the work in progress will help build the way for appropriate solutions for the effective and efficient implementation of Agenda 2063,” Jospeh Dion Ngute said. He equally urged the various delegations to discover some of Cameroon’s cultural specificities, and culinary delicacies which have earned it the name “Africa In Miniature.”
