Ni John Fru Ndi : Fallen SDF Chairman Begins Final Journey

The mortal remains of the Chairman of the Social Democratic Front, Ni John Fru Ndi have been coffined at the Yaounde General Hospital Mortuary prior to an official funeral to be organised in his honour tomorrow July 29, 2023 in Baba II, Mezam Division of the North West Region. The coffining ceremony took place on July 27, 2023 in the presence of the Secretary General of the CPDM Central Committee, Jean Nkueté, personal representative of the Head of State. It was attended by several members of government, political leaders, the diplomatic corps, party members, family, and sympathisers.   
In a homily by the Parish Pastor of the Presbyterian Church Bastos, Rev. Njongai Polycarp, drawn from Psalms 90:12, he dwelt on making your day count in this world. "So teach us Lord to number our days that we may get hearts of wisdom," was the main centre of the sermon. The man of God said in a world where God is the only landlord and we all are tenants, how you will be remembered when your days are done is what matters most. The deceased Chairman, the pastor stated, was not just a devoted Christian of the Presbyterian Church, but also a committed patriot and a torch bearer of Cameroon's democracy. "He left a legacy that should be respected. Liberty laws in Cameroon had meaning because there was a man who stood his grounds on his opinions. He was indeed a charismatic leader," the Rev Njongai said as he paid tribute to the life of the politician. With time being so free, yet timeless, he encouraged everyone to use their time for the service of the Creator, as was the case with Ni John Fru Ndi during his over eight decades on earth.
