2023 National Youth Football Championship : Espoir du Caire, Kumba Lakers Champions

The 2023 edition of the National Youth Football Championship has officially come to an end. This was after the national finals of both the U-15 and U-17 categories played on Saturday July 29, 2023 at the Ngoa-Ekelle Stadium. Espoir du Caire of the Centre Region and Kumba Lakers of the South West Region emerged winners respectively. The event organized by the Cameroon Youth Football League was attended by a cream of football stakeholders in the country headed by the first Vice President of the Cameroon Football Federation, Céline Eko.
In the under-15 category, Espoir du Caire from the Centre Region defeated Ajal of Maroua from the Far North (2-1). The game was a pleasant one as fans saw both sides amuse themselves on the pitch and at the same time portraying qualities that if nurtured will be very useful for country. They could construct play from the back, maintained their lines, play down balls and make two-three straight passes. At their young ages, they played with much determination but in a relaxed atmosphere.
