Consolidating Peace : UN Supports Cameroon

Prime Minister Joseph Dion Ngute received on September 15, 2023 the new Resident Coordinator of the United Nations System in Cameroon, appointed to act on interim basis.
A new Resident Coordinator of the United Nations System in Cameroon has been appointed to lead on interim basis. Siaka Coulibaly who arrived Cameroon in September 14, 2023 was received in audience by the Prime Minister, Head of Government, Joseph Dion Ngute on September 15, 2023. The Ivorian-born UN official assured the government of Cameroon that he will work in collaboration with authorities to consolidate mutual benefits of cooperation ties between the two parties.
In his statement to the press, Siaka Coulibaly said the United Nations will continue to support Cameroon in attaining her development objectives and in her efforts to promoting peace and security. “It was a great privilege for me to have been received by the Prime Minister and during the audience, it was possible for us to make a roundtable on what has been done between Cameroon and the United Nations, particularly around the cooperation framework and in line with the vision 2035 as well as the National Development Strategy 2030,” he said.
