Handball African Clubs Championship : Cameroonian Outfits In Limbo

FAP and FANZ men and women have recorded a series of defeats since the start of the competition on September 28, 2023 in Congo-Brazzaville.
Fondation André Nziko (FANZ) and Forces Armées et Police (FAP) men and women are having a tough time representing Cameroon at the ongoing Handball African Clubs Championship in Congo-Brazzaville.
FAP women and men were the first to stand for Cameroon on Day 1 on September 28, 2023 but all succumbed to Petro Atletico of Angola and Al Ahly of Egypt respectively. All eyes were turned to FANZ on the second playing day. But FANZ men and women produced the same negative output. FANZ women were defeated by Primero (24-46) while the men narrowly lost to Adjidja of Benin (34-35).
The third playing day was hope-raising as FAP men succeeded to get a draw against Jeunesse Sportive de Kinshasa (JSK) (27-27). FAP’s goalkeeper, Boubakary was named Player of the Match with a total of 14 saves. He was evidently the architect of holding JSK to a draw. Contrarily, the women were conspicuously beaten by DGSP (23-40).
