Limbe Naval Base : Navy Captain Njonou Takes Command

Navy Captain Njonou Akoutou Eric Landry has been installed to his new functions cumulatively as the new Commander of the Limbe Naval Base and the Limbe Military Garrison. He was installed on Friday, October 6 by General Eba Eba Bede Benoit, Commander of the Second Military Region for Littoral and South West. The Army General presided at the event representing the Head of State, Commander of the Armed Forces of Cameroon. Navy Captain Njonou was appointed last August 30th by the Head of State and Commander of the Armed Forces to take over from Navy Captain Ajeagha Njei Felix.
General Eba Eba charged the new Navy Base Commander to ensure efficiency, calm and security along Cameroon’s maritime borders with neighbouring countries of Nigeria and Equatorial Guinea. “In addition to protecting the sensitive points that constitute the Limbe Naval Base, this important Military base must continue with efficiency to play its role in preserving the calm which prevails in our waters, in particular through optimal security of the near maritime borders and ports facilities in connection with all friendly forces present,” the officiating Army General admonished.
