Diplomacy : Russian, Saudi Arabian Ambassadors Received

External Relations Minister, Mbella Mbella yesterday October 18, 2023 granted two separate audiences to the Ambassador of Russia, Anatoly Bashkin and the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Faisal Saud Almejfel. 
First to be received was the Saudis diplomat, who was a bearer of an invitation from the King of Saudi Arabia to President Paul Biya for participating in the Saudi-Africa Summit scheduled to take place in November this year. He told the press that he was at the Ministry of External Relations to hand over the invitation to the Minister for transmission to the Head of State, in compliance with diplomatic norms. The Ambassador and Minister also used the opportunity to review cooperation ties between the two countries. 
For the Russian Ambassador, they revisited cooperation between Cameroon and Russian that were once again harnessed in St Petersburg between President Paul Biya and President Vladimir Putin during the Russia-Africa summit in July 2023.  “We reviewed the state of cooperation, our achievements and what we have to do to continue developing our ties in the different domains,” he stated.
