Yaounde Intl Business School : Tech Students Showcase Talents

Tech students of the Yaounde International Business School (YIBS), within the “Tech Groove” initiative of the institution, has presented some eight innovative Information Technology (IT) programmes which seek to solve daily practical problems in the society. This was during an IT Open Door Day event of the Yaounde International Business School on October 17, 2023 in Yaounde. The event permitted students of the School of Computer Engineering to present some Computer Software Programmes developed by them to the public during the 2022/2023 academic year.
Opening the event was the President of YIBS, Acho Godfred Taku, who said the event was aimed at celebrating the achievements of the school, the hard work of the students and the dedication of the teachers.  According to the President of YIBS, the institution is driven by the desire to groom innovative youths with entrepreneurial skills which align with President Paul Biya’s 2035 vision for the emergence of Cameroon. He reiterated that YIBS has drilled its students on practical skills that can transform them into job creators rather than job seekers. The institution, Acho Godfred Taku added, has seven schools in Business and Finance, Management, Computer Engineering, Medical and Biomedical Sciences, Home Economics and Social Works, Education and School of International Programmes. The institution also runs an HND, Bachelor, Masters (MBA, MSc) programmes as well as International Certification Programmes. “The exhibition served as a testament to the professional and effective educational systems we have in place at YIBS,” Acho Godfred said.
