Cameroon-Nigeria : High Commissioner Appreciates Security Cooperation

Security cooperation between Cameroon and the Federal Republic of Nigeria has been appreciated by the outgoing High Commissioner, Abayomi Gabriel Olonisakin, who has come to the end of his diplomatic assignment in the country. He made the remark during an audience granted him by the Minister of Territorial Administration, Paul Atanga Nji on October 25, 2023. The Nigerian diplomat also thanked the Minister for the collaboration he received that facilitated his work. Another appreciation was extended to the government and people of Cameroon for their hospitality in the course of his 27-month tenue in Cameroon. “I also convey my deep appreciation to the President of the Republic, Paul Biya, for conferring on me the medal of Grand Officer of the National Order of Valour. I appreciate all that has been done and I came to thank the Minister for all the support to the Nigerian community here in Cameroon, and for him chairing the meetings Cameroon has had with Nigeria on the border security which have always been impactful,” the High Commissioner stated. Abayomi Gabriel Olonisakin also said he goes back to Nigeria with very good memories of his stay in Cameroon. He also assured the Minister that he will not relent in ensuring that issues concerning Cameroon and Nigeria will be well addressed and given the utmost attention they deserve.
