North West : Chief of Defence Staff Encourages Forces

On the second phase of his operational mission to evaluate the security and health situations in the 5th Joint Military Region for 2023, the Chief of Defence Staff Lieutenant General Rene Claude Meka appreciated the work done by the military in synergy with the Gendarmerie and Police to ensure the return to peace and normalcy in the North West Region.
Speaking to the press after their in-camera meeting, the Commander of the 5th Joint Military Region Brigadier General Bouba Dobekreo said the Chief of Defence Staff appreciated the work they are doing in the North West, stating that “the results are very positive.” He said that the Chief of Defence Staff gave them directives on how to continue with missions and operations to ensure the security of the population. The Chief of Defence Staff is also cited of asking the defence and security forces to use their know-how so that the security situation in the North West Region which is under control be stabilized forever. He reportedly appreciated the work the defence forces are doing in the North West in synergy with other forces such as the Gendarmerie and Police.
