Development, Peace Building In Ndian : Prime Minister Discusses With Ngolo Chiefs

Prime Minister, Head of Government, Joseph Dion Ngute, on November 10, 2023 received a delegation of Ngolo Chiefs Conference led by His Royal Majesty Ilambo Pius Mokeyo, with whom he discussed peace and development issues of the South West Region. The Ngolo tribe is one of the 12 tribes that make up Ndian Division of the region. The traditional rulers were therefore equally at the Star Building to commune with the Prime Minister who originates from the Division and thank the Head of State for appointing him. Prior to the start of discussions, a minute of silence was observed in respect for the at least 25 persons who were brutally murdered in Mamfe, Manyu Division on November 6, 2023. 
Welcoming them to the Star Building, Joseph Dion Ngute said “I want to recognise this important move you have made to come all the way from our Division to meet with me and my very close collaborators to discuss as a people, our Division, region and Cameroon. We are meeting for the first time after our brothers in Manyu have suffered a terrible pain with the loss of at least 25 people through terrorist action.” 
Speaking on behalf of the delegation after the meeting with the Head of Government, HRM Ilambo Pius Mokeyo noted that it was an opportunity to exchange ideas on aspects that directly concern the Ndian Division. “It is an opportunity for us to meet, commune and discuss development issues of Ndian. To express the challenges, the crisis, school resumption and many more issues which we as traditional rulers, as the leaders of the different communities of Ndian, have as responsibility to play a very important role in the achievement and return of peace and progress in our Division,” he stated.
