Elections Cameroon : Strategic Plan For 2024 Unveiled

Revolving around 11 essential programmes, it was adopted at the end of an Electoral Board meeting that held on December 21, 2023.


Elections Cameroon (ELECAM), has adopted its action plan for 2024. This was during the fourth ordinary session of the Electoral Board, presided at by its Chairperson, Enow Abrams Egbe, on December 21, 2023.
The strategic action plan is contained in 11 main programmes. Increasing the strategic capacities of the Electoral Board for monitoring, controlling and supervising, as well as strengthening institutional cooperation with key actors and partners both nationally and internationally; developing and implementing innovative electoral tools and means to ensure the success of the next elections; and creating working conditions conducive to increased performance and staff satisfaction, are some of the programmes as highlighted by the Board Chair in his opening remark. Enow Abrams Egbe added that they will equally optimize electoral communication and awareness to increase stakeholder engagement, trust and involvement of youth, women, minorities and people living with disabilities; prevent and mitigate the inherent legal risks, and enhance the legal certainty of the institution; and revitalize electoral research and strengthen the monitoring of the operational performance of the support structures of the General Directorate and the territorial divisions of ELECAM.
