U-20 Women’s World Cup : Lionesses Prepare Ahead Of Egypt Clash

The players will begin fine-tuning their skills in their hideout in Yaounde today, January 3, 2024 while waiting for their departure to Egypt.

The national women’s U-20 team will face Egypt in the first leg of the double encounter that will take place on January 12, 2024 in Egypt. The double-header will be the fourth and final qualifying round for the FIFA U-20 World Cup in Colombia 2024.  As the days draw nearer, the U-20 Lionesses are preparing in their hideout in Yaounde. After the Christmas break, the players return to camp today January 3, 2023. The team is training under the supervision of the head coach, Hassan Balla. The players and the coach are working out winning strategies in order to ensure the best result. 
During their training session, the girls of Coach Hassan Balla will play friendly matches with some local clubs in the country. During their first friendly match last weekend against the U17 boys of A.S. Abou manager at the CAF Excellence Centre in Mbankomo, the match ended 4-1 in favour of AS Abou manager. Laeticia Tsedaiwo scored the only goal for the U20 Lionesses. The match enabled the coach to gauge the current level of his girls and to see what needs to be improved before the next match.
