New Deal At 41 : Presidential Magazine Highlights Festivities

The Civil Cabinet of the Presidency has published its most recent edition of the newsletter on the mandate of Great Opportunities of the President of the Republic, Paul Biya. With a unique picture of the Head of State on the frontage, the publication captures the New Deal at 41 in the words “Towards New Horizons.” Unarguably, the celebration of the 41st anniversary of the accession of President Paul Biya to the supreme magistracy on November 6, 2023 was the major event in Cameroon in that month. Cameroonians across the national territory celebrated their leader. The festivities organised by the grassroots structures of the Cameroon People’s Democratic Movement (CPDM), the ruling party, were a resounding success, with the Head of State’s achievements, obstacles overcome and prospects for the future being the major themes. The magazine of the civil cabinet captures this in text and pictures. The television channel of the Presidency of the Republic (PRC TV) through a special broadcast programme of six hours non-stop allowed Cameroonians to revisit the work of the Head of State in various fields. Besides the New Deal, activities of the Head of State for the months of September to December 2023 are highlighted in the 136 coloured page bilingual document. Audiences with the French Ambassador, Thierry Marchand, the French Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Catherine Colonna who was in Cameroon on the sidelines of the 44th Ministerial Conference of La Francophonie, the Secretary General of La Francophonie, Louise Mushikiwabo equally in Cameroon for the aforementioned Conference, and the meeting with the Prime Minister of the Republic of Korea, Han Duck-soo who was in Cameroon on an official visit can be read in the magazine. Farewell audiences granted the Russian Ambassador to Cameroon, Anatoly Bashkin, and the Indian High Commissioner to Cameroon, Anindya Banerjee, at the end of their diplomatic stay in Cameroon are aptly captured.
