Buea : Youth Show Respect For Republican Values

The 58th National youth Day at Bongo Square witnessed an increase in participation of schools.

When the clock stroked 10:39 a.m, Sona Ediage Lucia, South West Regional Delegate for Women Empowerment and the family, dressed in a primary school uniform opened the march-past at Bongo School Buea on February 11, 2024 for schools. She aligned with pupils of Government Primary School Buea Town, Group I. A host of schools across primary, secondary and higher education filled past the ceremonial ground. They raised the national colours up and chanted their adherence to republican values. This year’s event witnessed an impressive number of youth in various spheres. From State, lay private to mission schools, the number of schools, pupils and students swelled up. Trainees of National Disarmament, Demobilisation and Reintegration Committee, Cameroon National Youth Council, Volunteers of National Civic Service for participation in Development among others were in attendance.
