Batibo : Terrorist Effang Emmanuel's Corpse Presented

The Senior Divisional Officer of Momo Division Fouda Etaba Benoit Nicaise led the delegation that presented the mortal remains in Guzang Market Square on February 15, 2024.
On October 4, 2023, the self-styled separatist fighters general Effang Emmanuel (Alias Big Number) masterminded the public assassination of two civilians in the Guzang Market Square, Batibo Subdivision in Momo Division of the North West Region. Yesterday, February 15, 2024, the same local population that helplessly watched him assassinate their brothers watched, took pictures and videos of his mortal remains presented by the Momo Senior Divisional Officer Fouda Etaba Benoit Nicaise on the same spot.
SDO Fouda Etaba said Effang Emmanuel and his armed group had committed many atrocities such as the two civilians assassinated in the Guzang Market Square, killing of 10 people in Nacho Junction in Bamenda II Subdivision, kidnapping of Senator Regina Mundi, kidnappings for ransom, among other evils. He said that within the framework of his peace building caravan in Momo Division, he thought it wise to sensitise the population of Batibo and Guzang in particular where Effang committed his macabre killings. Mr Fouda Etaba disclosed that with the incident, he took the commitment to fish out its perpetrators at all cost and bring them to book. It was therefore with the commitment that the defence and security forces dismantled Effang’s camp in Ewae Village during which Effang sustained wounds and succeeded to go to some private health institutions. “But through investigations opened by the Legal Department of the Military Court, we laid hands on him in Belo,” the Momo administrative boss said.
