Fostering Local Development : Ndian Women Outline Roadmap

The ladies met in Ekondo Titi where they pushed for development initiatives and advocated for peace in their First Ever Conference


Ndian All Women Organisations Network (NDAWONE) has indicated that 10 teenage mothers will be trained in vocational institutions in the entire Ndian Division. It launched a project called “Operation five hectares of farm land” in Esankele to cultivate maize, melon and cassava. Finances for startups and materials will be given to women who had gained skills in poultry farming.

All these intended to alleviate poverty and make Ndian girls and women self-reliant. A commitment taken on Saturday February 17, 2024 in Ekondo Titi during the NDAWONE first ever conference. To reinforce the back-to-school campaign, 20 children were handed didactic materials and NDAWONE put smiles on the faces of eight widows and two widowers of ages 60 and above, each  offered the sum of  FCFA 10 000. At the beginning of the 2023/2024 academic year, books, pens, pencils, rulers, water bottles, arm boards, and school bags worth FCFA 3.500.000 were donated to 100 children within the nine Subdivisions of Ndian. NDAWONE insisted that all these were to ensure that school returns to normalcy in Ndian Division.

Ebiaebey Immaculate Dibumba, President of NDAWONE, indicated that they are interested in improving and enhancing the living conditions of Ndian women through the eradication of poverty at grassroots level.
