Cameroon-German Cooperation : Development, Security Discussed

This was during an audience Prime Minister, Joseph Dion Ngute granted to a delegation of German legislators on March 28, 2024.

Prime Minister Joseph Dion Ngute on March 28, 2024 received a delegation of German legislators, led by Hon. Jürgen Cosse of the Social Democratic Party (SPD); the ruling party in Germany. The delegation equally comprising two lawmakers of opposition parties, discussed business, development and security with the Head of Government. They were accompanied by the German Ambassador to Cameron, Dr. Corinna Fricke. 
After the one-hour audience, Hon. Jürgen Cosse said they exchanged views on promoting peace so as to channel resources that are being used in reconstruction during and after a conflict for accelerating development. “We discussed a lot of things like business, development and security. And my message is that security and freedom are together. In a lot of conflicts in the world, lives are lost and that costs money. What can we do with that money when there is no conflict? So, I am thinking, we have too much conflicts in the world and it is our message that we must do everything together so that we have less conflicts in the world. It is good for the people as nobody dies and we have money that we can use to do other things in Cameroon, Africa, and other countries in the world. That is a message from me and the Prime Minister totally agrees,” the German lawmaker stated.
