FENASSCO League “A” Games : Monument Carries Importance Of Education

Located in the premises of Government High School Limbe, it is a call to all the children of Limbe to take their education serious.

The importance of education and the culture of the Bakweri people have been portrayed through the National FENASSCO League “A” games’ monument. It sits in the premises of Government High School Limbe and constructed on an approximately 300 square metres of land. Ajah Peter Tamasang, Engineer of the Ministry of Secondary Education, presented the monument to the public on April 2, 2024 when the games opened in Limbe. 
The National FENASSCO League “A” games’ monument is made of five components. The first element is a book. It shows the educational milieu and the importance of studying. It also has circular vertical members which symbolise togetherness of parents, students and teachers. The coastal area where Limbe is found has canoe as one of its cultural elements which featured on the monument.
