2024 One Run International Semi-marathon : Preparations Afoot

The 2024 One Run International Semi-marathon will take place in Cameroon on May 19, 2024. The information was announced during a press conference that took place in Yaounde on Friday April 19, 2024. An initiative of the Hero League of Russia in collaboration with the Cameroon Athletics Federation, the race is expected to bring together 3,000 participants from across the country. The press conference equally served as preparations for the event which will be taking part in Cameroon for the first time. 
Speaking at the occasion, the Russian Ambassador to Cameroon, HE Georgy Todua said the embassy will support the event because it is sports, unity and it is an international event which is taking place in a favourable environment and to strengthen relations between Cameroon and Russia. He called on all Cameroonians to participate in the event to demonstrate unity, stability and peace.  
One Run Semi-marathon is the biggest semi-marathon with a synchronised departure in the world. The race will take place on May 19, 2024 at the same time in 15 countries. Africa enters the competition this year with Egypt and Cameroon. The objective of this race is to strengthen the links of unity and love between peoples, popularise the sport, promote a healthy lifestyle and implicate the citizens in physical and systematic education.
