National School of Local Administration : Second Competitive Entrance Draws To A Close
Thousands of candidates are bracing up for admission into NASLA as the last date to receive applications was initially fixed for 26 April, 2024.
The enthusiasm is rising with the fore knowledge that tomorrow will be the latest date to deposit application files for the entrance exam into the Buea-based National Advanced School of Local Administration (NASLA).
However, there is great hope that the date may be extended for another week. As explained by the highest authority of the school, “We would not want to prejudice candidates on the mere misunderstanding of where to deposit their files.” Cameroon Tribune waded into NASLA premises yesterday afternoon and got from the Director General, Tanyitiku E. Bayee, that there has been some misunderstanding by some candidates as to where to deposit their application files. It was stated that the lone exam centre is NASLA in Buea and some candidates misunderstood that the exam centre was the only place where to deposit their application files. It is not so, he explained adding that files should be deposited at the various Regional Delegations of the Ministry of Decentralisation and Local Development or at NASLA office. From the information gleaned some candidates are travelling to Buea to deposit their files when they could have just deposited them at their Regional headquarters.
Meanwhile as of 16 April, over 1.500 candidates had already applied to sit the entrance exam this year and the numbers are growing due to the last minute rush.
