Men’s National Basketball Championship : KSA, 2024 Champions

The Elite Men’s National Basketball Championship concluded on Sunday May 19, 2024 at the Yaounde Multipurpose Sports Complex, with Kadji Sports Academy (KSA) Basketball Club of Douala finishing atop the standings with 25 points after a hard-fought campaign.
The seventh and final conference proved pivotal in determining the champion. KSA entered the conference leading the pack with 22 points, but FAP was closely behind with 21 points, harbouring ambitions for a double after securing the Women's Championship title.
KSA displayed unwavering determination, defeating FALCONS 77-64 on the 13th playing day. However, the ultimate test arrived on the final day where they faced off against their closest rivals, FAP, in a match that resembled a championship finale. FAP also emerged victorious in their day-13 encounter against Firebirds (78-61), setting the stage for a tight head-to-head clash with KSA and FAP having 24 and 23 points respectively.
The final match lived up to expectations with both teams showcasing immense pressure and unwavering desire for the trophy. FAP ultimately secured a win (79-71), forcing a tie on points (25 each) due to the rules awarding two points for a win and one for a loss.
