Esther Juliette Meka : Women, Child Health Care Specialist

It is with great satisfaction and humility that Ngo Um epse Meka Esther Juliette received the Presidential Decree of July 10, 2024 in which she was appointed Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences of the University of Yaounde I. The senior lecturer at the aforementioned faculty was before her appointment, Vice-Rector in charge of Internal Control and Evaluation at the same University, a position she occupied from 2022.  Between 2021 and 2022, she was Vice-Dean in charge of Research and Cooperation at the Faculty of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences (FMSB), University of Yaounde I.
Her professional career at the hospital indicates that she was made Head of the Gynaecological and Pediatric Oncology Department at the Yaoundé Gynaecology, Obstetrics and Padiatrics Hospital in 2021. She joined the medical staff of the hospital in 2012, after having served at the Gynaecologist and Obstetrician Department of the Regional Hospital of Bafoussam, West Region. Esther Juliette Meka has also worked at the District Hospitals of Nkongsamba and Bonassama in Douala, where she began her medical career as a general practitioner in 2002. In 2024, she became a member of the Specialized Technical Committee (STC) of CAMES.
