LAFTA : Roger Milla Communes With The Elderly

This was during his maiden visit to the recreational home for “Seniors” located in Yaounde on July 24, 2024.

The Roving Ambassador, Roger Milla on Wednesday July 24, 2024 in Yaounde had a wonderful moment exchanging pleasantries with elderly persons at the Living Alternatives For the Ageing (LAFTA) home in Yaounde. Conviviality and immense joy reigned between Roger Milla and the over 200 elderly persons who were present at LAFTA. As the elderly people danced and praised Roger Milla for projecting the image of the country worldwide, they also prayed that he takes the story of LAFTA to all the nooks and crannies of the country, so that more elderly people will benefit from the free recreational and medical services offered at the institution. During the visit, Roger Milla was joined by the Deputy President of FECAFOOT, Celine Eko.
Speaking to the press, Roger Milla said: “I came to visit a recreational home dedicated to elderly persons in the society. I am surprised with what I have seen here. I did not know there was such a place in Cameroon. I am personally very happy to see lots of mothers and fathers coming to receive medical care while enjoying recreational activities with their mates free of charge. I am going to work with other partners and see how we can join the train behind LAFTA.” The Founder of LAFTA, Elisabeth Makwang Mofor said they wish Roger Milla, who is a Roving Ambassador, to become an ambassador for LAFTA and a voice for the elderly people in the country.
