OIC General Assembly : Cameroon To Organise Economic Forum

Promoters and potential investors will be presented with the priority sectors of Cameroon during the event.
On the sidelines of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) General Assembly, to be held in Yaounde in September 2024, Cameroon, through the Investment Promotion Agency (API) in partnership with the Islamic Centre for Development and Trade (ICDT) and the Arab Bank for Economic Development in Africa, will organise the ICDT Invest Days Yaounde Forum under the theme; “Investing in the new Cameroon, land of attractiveness.” Information on the forum was provided by the Acting Director General of the Investment Promotion Agency, Donatus Buma during a roadshow conference organised at the 13th edition of the Government Action Fair (SAGO) on July 26, 2024. He moderated the roadshow programme as part of the preparations for the upcoming economic event that will seek to canvass investors who will accompany the nation in its development ambitions as highlighted in the National Development Strategy 2020-2030.
To the Acting Director General, the objective of the forum is to inform promoters and potential investors of Cameroon’s priority sectors and investment opportunities during the high-level meeting. The forum, he added will also highlight Cameroon as an attractive investment destination and to present to investors from OIC member countries the main investment opportunities available in the country. Donatus Buma further explained that the forum will encourage the development of economic and commercial partnerships between OIC member States, promote regional integration, foster the sharing of national and regional experiences, support projects funding through regional financial institutions and promote the realisation of investment intentio...
