Partnership Framework With World Bank : Resource Mobilisation, Implementation On Limelight

Prime Minister, Joseph Dion Ngute yesterday August 20, 2024 received in audience the Executive Director representing Cameroon at the Board of the institution, Abdoul Sallam Bello.
A new partnership framework between Cameroon and the World Bank Group spanning the period 2025-2029 was recently adopted by the two parties. Aligned with the country’s vision 2035 emergence aspirations and the National Development Strategy 2030 programme, it contains medium and long-term development projects such as road, infrastructure and energy. These are some development areas funded in Cameroon by the financial institution. It is thus against this backdrop that the Prime Minister, Head of Government, Joseph Dion Ngute, yesterday August 20, 2024 received in audience the Executive Director representing Cameroon at the Board of the World Bank, Abdoul Sallam Bello. To this end, development orientations and the Prime Minister’s advice on resource mobilisation as well as the effective implementation of projects for the country’s growth were sought.
Going by the statement of the visiting official, they reviewed the state of cooperation between the institution and the government, ties which he appreciated for being in excellent quality. A key aspect discussed, as stated by the Executive Director, is the new partnership framework between the two parties. “We discussed various matters that are of interest for both parties, starting from the adoption of the new partnership framework, which is a strategic document that builds the relationship between the World Bank Group and Cameroon for the period 2025-2029.
