2024 U-18 AfroBasket Championships : Cameroon Knows Opponents

Effervescence is growing towards the 2024 men and women U-18 AfroBasket Championships both billed in Pretoria, South Africa. The draw for both events were done on August 25, 2024 in Kigali Rwanda. Cameroon’s men’s team was pooled in Group A alongside Mali, Côte d’Ivoire and Senegal. The women’s team was also pooled in Group A with hosts South Africa, Rwanda and Tunisia.
For the men’s competition, the 12-nation tournament will be staged from September 2-14. Teams were divided into three groups of four teams each and the tournament hosts were drawn in Group C alongside Rwanda, Morocco and Zambia. While for the women, the 12-nation tournament will be staged from September 1-13. Teams were also divided into three groups of four teams each. 
The two competitions have the same format. In the group phase, teams will face off in a round-robin system. The teams that finish first and second in each group will advance to the quarter-finals and will be joined by the two best third-placed teams.
