Despite the recent tension surrounding the team, the Lions are determined to play together and move forward.
The Indomitable Lions of Cameroon will be present at the 2025 TotalEnergies Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco. The boys of Coach Marc Brys beat the Harambee Stars of Kenya (0-1) during a day four AFCON qualifier that took place at the Nelson Mandela Stadium in Kampala, Uganda, on October 14, 2024. The win consolidates Cameroon's top spot in Group J, with a two-point lead over Zimbabwe and a six-point lead over Kenya. Last Monday’s victory is proof of the fighting spirit that is synonym of the Lions.
For long, Cameroonians have not seen such a performance of the Lions in major competitions. The result of the last four matches of the AFCON qualifiers is proof of the fighting spirit of the Lions and their determination to defend the colours of the country. Despite the recent tension surrounding the team, the Lions are determined to play together and move forward. There is serenity and solidarity in the team which are the main factors of success. The reconciliation between the Ministry of Sports and Physical Education and FECAFOOT brought in hope for the future.
