Strengthening Health System : Global Fund Evaluates Programme

A delegation of led by the Regional Manager for West and Central Africa, Dr. Faria Ibrahim was received by Prime Minister Joseph Dion Ngute yesterday October 15, 2024.

The Prime Minister Head of Government, Joseph Dion Ngute, yesterday October 15, 2024 received a delegation of the Global Fund for the Fight Against HIV, Tuberculosis and Malaria, led by the Regional Manager for West and Central Africa, Dr. Faria Ibrahim. The main objective of the mission is to overview the programme they are financing in Cameroon. Indeed, the country and the institution have been in a partnership for some 20 years on the financing of HIV/AIDS, tuberculosis, malaria and health system strengthening. In January, the two parties signed a grant agreement for financing to combat the three diseases.  
In his statement to reporters, the Regional Manager said it was a routine meeting to discuss with partners like the Ministry of Public Health and national programme partners to see where to improve and make sure available funding can be absorbed and translated into results.
