Limbe City Council : 2025 Budgetary Priorities Scrutinized

This was during a Budget Orientation Debate that held on Monday October 21, 2024 under the auspices of the City Mayor, Paul Efome Lisombe Mbole Ngale.
In accordance with Section 374 (2) of the Law no. 2019/024 of 24 December 2019 on the General Code of Regional and Local Authorities, the Limbe City Council held its Budget Orientation Debate on October 21, 2024 to set the budgetary priorities for the local government institution for the 2025 financial year. Addressing the City Councilors who constitute the Board, the City Mayor underscored the importance of the get-together which he said will give a better orientation. The Budget Orientation Debate which marks the second step of the budget elaboration process after the Town Hall Meeting gives room for a participatory approach to the voting of the budget which targets the most important and realistic development projects. “In the important exercise of citizen participation to local development, we unanimously looked into areas where we thought our budget should focus in 2025,” Efome Ngale stated.
The Limbe City Mayor outlined the priorities for 2025 which to him would be on revenue generating projects. “We have capitalized in pumping finances in projects that can boost the financial situation of Limbe City Council so that we reduce the debts we owe and as well carry out meaningful social projects that shall boost the wellbeing of the population and assure the development of our municipality,” he ...
