West : Development, Exhbition Forum In December

This was disclosed during a press conference that held in Bafoussam on 14 November 2024 that was chaired by the West Regional Council President, Dr Focka Focka.
The second edition of the West economic development plan “Recontres d’Echanges, de Decouvertes et d’Exhibition de la Region de d’Ouest” (REDEO 2024), an initiative put in place by the West regional Council, aimed at increasing investment opportunities,to help adjust economic structures in the West region to have a more buoyant and dynamic economic growth, will now take place from, the 13-23, December, 2024.
The announcement was made in Bafoussam on the 14th, November, 2024, by the president of the West regional council, Dr.Jules Hilaire Focka Focka, during a press conference that grouped development and economic partners from home and abroad (Diaspora).
Addressing Journalists at the press conference, the president of the regional council, Dr.Jules Hilaire Focka Focka, said decentralization put in place by President Paul Biya, must be consider essential to all development strategies at all levels of the society, which enables the public and private actors to play more active roles in local public affairs. He said President Paul Biya’s aim of transferring responsibilities to local authorities is simple to encourage better governance and economic development at regional and local levels.
