Entrepreneurship Forum : Women Strengthen Capacity In Politics

This is ongoing at the fifth edition of the African Forum for Women Entrepreneurs opened by the Minister of Women Empowerment, yesterday November 20, 2024.


The Minister of Women’s Empowerment and the Family, Marie-Thérèse Abena Ondoa, joined by Catherine Samba-Panza, the human rights activist and politician who served as Transitional President of the Central African Republic from 2014 to 2016, and the Promoter of the NGO Women Empowerment and Child Protection, Tereza Athian Abdelbagi, who is wife of the Vice-President of South-Sudan, on November 20, 2024 in Yaounde reiterated the importance of women to actively take part in the political scene of their country. They were speaking at the official opening of the 5th edition of the African Forum for Women Entrepreneurs in Cameroon; dubbed FAFE, 2024. It was noted that politics greatly influence the economy of any country, hence the entrepreneurial activities of any woman.
The President of FAFE, Rose Simone Manguelle said M2FINANCES and the NGO “More Women in Politics" are co-organising the fifth edition of the forum which began on the 18 and ends on November 24, 2024, under the theme: “Women Entrepreneurs and Politics: the impact of women entrepreneurs in the political game.” Given that women are hardly at the forefront in the political life of any country, FAFE 2024 aims to address this issue by raising awareness among women entrepreneurs, so that they can fully understand the stakes involved in participating effectively in the political process in their respective countries.
