Christening of National Assembly Committee Rooms : Concerned Families Express Gratitude

The families of late Marcel Marigoh Mboua and Solomon Tandeng Muna had two separate audiences with the House Speaker, Cavaye Yeguie Djibril on January 8 and 9, 2025.

On December 5, 2024, the Speaker of the National Assembly, Cavaye Yeguie Djibril signed a Bureau Order christening four Committee Rooms of the law-making institution after the names of some prominent legislators who served their nation in the legislative arm of government. The Committee Rooms of the new National Assembly complex that was officially inaugurated on November 30, 2024 have the christened names affixed at the walls of the halls. Besides the name of the incumbent Speaker, others include Marcel Marigoh Mboua, Speaker of the Federal National Assembly from 1962 to 1972, Solomon Tandeng Muna, Speaker of the National Assembly from 1973 to 1988, and Jean Bernard Ndongo Essomba, former Parliamentary Group Leader of the Cameroon People’s Democratic Movement (CPDM). 
In recognition to the Bureau Order, the families of the two aforementioned former Speakers of the National Assembly paid a courtesy visit to Hon. Cavaye Yeguie Djibril to express their gratitude for the honours accorded them. The family of late Marcel Marigoh Mboua was received by the House Speaker on Wednesday January 8 and that of Solomon Tandeng Muna on January 9, 2025.
