Bafoussam : Hitch-free Voting

It was an atmosphere of calm and anxiety among candidates standing for the regional council elections in Mifi constituency yesterday, 30, November, 2025, at the Teachers practicing school Bafoussam, hosting voters for the regional council election.  By 8.am, the assessors to identify voters names, to enable them vote freely were already present at the two polling or voting rooms. After the regional supervising team went round to ensure that the voting materials were in place for the councilors to vote their delegates through indirect universal suffrage, and room 2 for traditional rulers to vote their representatives through their peers, voting went under way. Governor Awa Fonka Augustine and his entourage arrived the voting center when the voting exercise was already in progress, and after inspecting the process, the Governor expressed his sincere. He noted with satisfaction that the atmosphere was that of a desirable condition for real democracy, and that he hopes can help trigger fgood governance.
