His Majesty King Muluh Taka IV flew into Yaounde from South Africa on December 19, 2025 to join his subjects in celebrating Mannjim Festival. During which he will be formally enthroned as Fon of Muwah in Pinyin Clan.
Yaounde - December 19, 2025: The atmosphere at the Yaounde-Nsimalen International Airport was electric this Friday December 19, 2025 as hundreds of subjects, traditional dance groups, and kingmakers gathered for a moment - a decade in the making. His Majesty King Muluh Taka IV of Muwah Village arrived from South Africa, marking the end of a 10-year physical absence and the beginning of a transformative era for the Pinyin Clan.
The King And The Banker
King Muluh Taka IV is not a traditional leader in the conventional sense alone. A South Africa-based banker with a Master’s in Innovation Studies and an MBA, he represents a new breed of African royalty. One who bridges the gap between ancient ancestral wisdom and modern economic strategy. Since ascending to the throne in 2019, he has led his people largely via digital platforms due to the armed conflict in the North West and South West Regions, after his father, the late King Fonji Taka III, "went missing."
The Coronation And The Festival
Though he was enthroned in absentia years ago, the King’s return is essential for the formal traditional rites that demand his physical presence. On December 20, 2025, the Muwah Royal Palace will host his formal coronation, a ceremony that anchors the 2025 Mannjim Festival.
The Mannjim Festival, running from December 19, 2025, to January 1, 2026, is themed "Peace, Unity, and Heritage." While the festival was the brainchild of his late father, King Muluh Taka IV has modernized the event, expanding it into a two-week cultural summit designed to heal deep-seated chieftaincy wrangling within the Pinyin Clan.
"It is a festival for all of us with a clear intention to unite ourselves," the King stated upon his arrival. "Once traditional leaders are united, their word breaks down every single challenge."
