Limbe City Council: Administrative, Management Accounts Adopted

Limbe City Council management staff and Fako administrative working hand in gloves to foster local development.
Councillors of the Limbe City Council have validated the Administrative, Management and Stores Accounts for 2025 financial year of the structure. The accounts were adopted during the first ordinary session which took place on April 10, 2026. The accounts as presented by the Limbe City Mayor, Dr Paul Efome Mbolle Ngale, indicated that FCFA 3,425,551,498 was collected as revenue in 2025 compared to FCFA 2.5 billion in 2024 and FCFA 1.5 in 2023. Despite the increase in revenue collection, the realisation rate stood at 48.94 per cent given that the budget for 2025 was balanced in revenue and expenditure at FCFA 7 billion. On the other hand, recurrent expenditure stood at FCFA 1.504,645,680 out of the FCFA 4,165 billion budgeted. Only FCFA 327,726,882 was spent as investment expenditure from the FCFA 2.835 billion that was budgeted. Total expenditure stood at FCFA 1.8 billion for 2025. Chairing the first ordinary session of the year, the 1st Assistant Senior Divisional Officer of Fako, Awa Dean who represented the SDO, saluted efforts towards revenue generation but frowned at the low consumption of the budget. “Development should be proportionate to the budget,” he said while transmitting the SDO’s call for seriousness in the execution of Public Investment Budget in Fako Division. To the Limbe City Mayor, the council is gradually moving from one state of stability to another. From the financial standpoint, Dr Efome Ngale noted that from 2023, there has been a steady rise in revenue collection, from FCFA 1.5 billion to FCFA 3.5 billion in 2025.
