Presbyterian Church in Cameroon: Moderator Calls For Undivided Discipleship

T he Moderator of the Presbyte­ rian Church in Cameroon (PCC), Rt. Rev. Miki Hans Abia, has ur­ ged PCC Christians to remain stead­ fast in their journey of following Christ. He made the call during his maiden visit to the East Mungo South Presbytery on Sunday, July 5. Speaking at the PC Bonamoussadi during the divine worship service, the Moderator drew inspiration from Luke 9:57–62, focusing on the theme “The Cost of Undivided Disci­ pleship”. He challenged Christians to remain loyal to their faith, emphasi­ sing that Jesus Christ never invited people to an easy life. According to him, Christianity is not about conve­ nience, but about commitment. He added that nothing should take precedence over Jesus’s call. Chris­ tians, he said, should not use com­ fort, delay, or distraction as excuses. “You can’t plough a straight line while looking behind. Half-hearted faith won’t work.
