Assisting the Needy: Orphanages Receive Gifts

M ore than 100 children from three or­ phanages in Douala benefited from the generosity of Coeur d’Ira, an as­ sociation committed to supporting the un­ derprivileged and needy in society. This was during a gala that took place in Douala on July 25 during which partners provided various items, including food supplies and school needs. According to Irene Elimbe Moukoudi Mingole, President of Coeur d’Ira, the initiative was an opportunity to bring smiles to the children’s faces. She said the children from different orphanages – including OCEM, Marinata, and CIFIRM – received school-related needs. She added that support came from multiple sources, among which companies and individual donors, who cover expenses such as schooling (in­ cluding assistance for groups of children) and essential food items like rice, milk, and flour, oil and more.
