Motivated by the desire to be­ come self-reliant and inspired by social media influencers who showcase creative hairstyles and successful beauty businesses, many young people are turning their free time into an opportunity to develop practical skills. Beyond learning, some trainees are already receiving financial encouragement from their trai­ ners. Esther says the experience has been rewarding both profes­ sionally and financially. "I love this profession. The training is really helping me and sometimes, at the end of the day, she gives me FCFA 2,000 or even 4,000 when we really have clients".
