South West: Bringing Hearts Together Supports IDP Children

Tiko (Fako) - There are over 100 internally displaced pupils and students in Ndongo Camp in Tiko Subdivision who are now anxiously waiting for September 7, 2026, to hit the road to school for the academic year 2026/2027. Their school needs were on Saturday, August 29, 2026, provided by Bringing Hearts Together (BHeT). It shared over 100 school kits containing books, pens, pencils, erasers, school bags and other basic learning materials. Addi­ tionally, the IDP learners were provided with clothing and school shoes. Initially planned for 100 learners, BHeT ensured that the huge population that turned out went home with something. The Chief Executive Officer of Bringing Hearts Together (BHeT), Regina Liengu Etaka Esong, said by providing the IDPs with necessary school supplies, the overall goal of the project is to improve access to education for internally displaced chil­ dren in Tiko Subdivision of the South West Region of Cameroon. The journalist who writes for Cameroon Tribune news­ paper at SOPECAM Littoral Region also created awareness on the importance of education and the need for local authori­ ties and communities to support education especially that of internally displaced chil­ dren and youth.
