The more inclusive a political party is, the more diversified it becomes, hence gaining access to several territories based on such an approach. Indeed, research has shown that true inclusion requires moving beyond basic voting access to ensuring a seat at the decision-making table. Those living with disabilities also have a contribution to make with regards to the political landscape. Their position should not only be limited to being voters, be main actors in political debates and actions. For this to happen however, there should be a level playing ground for everyone. This will bring out the best in every party member, with less frustrations. Giving persons living with disabilities more leadership positions within political parties is a fundamental human right that strengthens democratic pluralism and drives inclusive governance. For the government, they should put in place laws that make the partici­ pation of those living with disabilities more favourable. These group of people are already vulnerable and legal dispositions need to make things easier for them. If there can be a legally binding provision on gender and sociological components, why not about those living with disabilities. Elections Cameroon (ELECAM) rejects lists from political parties which are not gender inclusive. This has increased the number of women in political affairs and in leadership positions. Should such a law be passed with regards to persons living with disabilities, this too will equally increase their presence in leadership roles in political affairs. Political parties on their part need to have their internal rules scripted in such a way that they encourage the participation of these group of people.
