Frequency Bands Allocation:Time For Evaluation

 The inter-ministerial conference held last Thursday in Yaounde, and was chaired by the Minister of Posts and Telecommunications.

Ameliorating the quality of telecommunications networks in Cameroon is one of the missions of the Inter-ministerial Board For Frequency Bands Allocation (CIABAF). Meeting during their 10th and 11th ordinary sessions in the conference hall of the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications last Thursday, 16th November 2017, Minister Libom Li Likeng alongside Communication Minister Issa Tchiroma Bakary, the Secretary of State in the Ministry of Defence in Charge of Ex-service men and War Victims Koumpa Issa, and representatives of some ministries gathered to brainstorm on various strategies to solve the problems faced by frequency bands in the country.
During her welcome address, Minister Minette Libom Li Likeng outlined the challenges faced by the telecommunications sector in Cameroon and the various measures put in place by CIABAF to find long lasting solutions to these problems. She therefore called on all participants at the conference to ensure that the difficulties faced by the sector are resolved to a considerable extent in order to ensure the smooth evolution of electronic communication in the country.
