Prime Minister Philemon Yang on December 8, 2017 had talks with the visiting Director General of the International Labour Organisation (ILO), Guy Ryder.
The Director General of the International Labour Organisation (ILO), Guy Ryder during his three-day visit to Cameroon last weekend discussed with government authorities, employers and workers organisations on how the organisation within its sphere of influence which is labour and social affairs matters can contribute to Cameroon’s development.
He made the declaration on Friday, December 8, 2017 after talks with Prime Minister, Head of Government, Philemon Yang. Mr Guy Ryder said, “the development of decent work and employment opportunities for your people is an important precondition for development.” He said Cameroon has a high ambition for its development.
The ILO considers this and the Prime Minister confirmed that the development of decent work can be an essential precondition for development, the senior official said.
