Donga Mantung Division : BIR Enhances Health Care Delivery In Nkambe

Conceived and promoted by the Rapid Intervention Batallion (BIR), the "Nkambe Health Campaign", offrers free consultations, medications and surgeries to some 1, 517 needy inhabitants.
Civilo-military actions that inspire hope in health care delivery was topical in Nkambe, Donga Mantung Division from May 5 to 7, 2022. The event at the Nkambe District hospital was a health campaign with the Rapid Intervention Batallion (BIR) to thank for a rare opportunity for patients to access free consultations and medications with ophthalmological, pediatric and gynecological concerns. Sources indicate that there was a rush for the campaign with patients in long queues in their desire to enjoy the generosity of the initiative by BIR.
Besides consultations and administering medication, the BIR team donated two incubators to the Nkambe District hospital. In a show of gratitude, the Director of the hospital, Dr. Divine Moye hailed the BIR team for their human face with activities that save lives.
Launching the health campaign, the General Coordinator of BIR, Col. Francois Pelele cheered the enthusiasm and collaborative character of the population of Nkambe. The Colonel stressed on the benefits of a good partnership between the population and defense and security forces towards safe and peaceful neighbourhoods.
