Noun Division : CERAC Shows Solidarity To Displaced Families

A ceremony to hand over gifts to displaced school children and families from the North West and South West regions residing in the Division of the West Region took place yesterday October 6, 2022 in Foumbot.

The First Lady of Cameroon, Chantal Biya, through her charitable association, the Circle of Friends of Cameroon (CERAC) has offered didactic materials, foodstuffs and household items to pupils, students and some families displaced from the North West Region and now living in the Noun Division of the West Region. The ceremony to hand over the multifaceted gifts took place yesterday October 6, 2022 in Foumbot. The personal representative of the First Lady at the event which was out to preach “solidarity and sharing” was the General Coordinator of CERAC, Dr Grace Dion Ngute. Upon receiving the gifts, on behalf of the beneficiaries, Moriter Ngwa Nchang, student of Government Bilingual High School in Foumbot, thanked the Founding President of CERAC, Mrs Chantal Biya for the kind gesture which she said will improve their daily life. 
The Mayor of Foumbot, Njoya Inoussa, said the presence of a CERAC's delegation among them was a sign of encouragement not only in the efforts taken by the population to accommodate their brothers and sisters from the North West Region, but also to a project which is being undertaken by the Foumbot Council to contribute to the education of internally displaced children since the beginning of the crisis in the North West and South West Regions.
