Cameroon-Saudi Arabia : Expanding Security, Humanitarian Cooperation

Prime Minister, Joseph Dion Ngute received the Saudi humanitarian delegation led by General Ahmed Abdullah Altuagri on December 14, 2022.

Enhancing security and humanitarian cooperation between Cameroon and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia was discussed yesterday December 14, 2022 during an audience the Prime Minister, Head of Government, Joseph Dion Ngute granted a Saudi humanitarian delegation led by General Ahmed Abdullah Altuagri of the Ministry of Defence.  Dispatched by the King of Saudi Arabia on a fact-finding mission to get more knowledge on areas where the Saudi government can partner with Cameroon in handling security challenges and humanitarian crises, the team was at the Star Building to present a balance sheet of their activities to the Prime Minister. Composing of delegates from several government agencies, the King Salman Centre and the Saudi Fund for Development, they have been in Cameroon since Monday December 12, 2022, meeting with stakeholders in the health and security domains of the country. 
Speaking through an interpreter, the head of the delegation, General Ahmed Abdullah Altuagri, Director of the Africa Department at the Saudi Ministry of Defence said they have visited several places and a few hospitals and have identified the security and humanitarian needs of Cameroon, which will be forwarded to their hierarchy. He expressed appreciation for having been received by the Prime Minister, adding that other aspects of bilateral cooperation between Cameroon and Saudi Arabia were discussed during the audience.
